Why do I use my own AI account?
It keeps your book private and keeps the price honest. Your material travels from your browser to the model you choose, is used to write your book, and is never stored on our servers. You pay the model provider directly, at their published rates, rather than paying a markup to us.
I have ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro — can I use that?
Yes. Those subscriptions don't include developer access, so the studio offers a guided mode: it prepares each prompt for you, you run it in your own ChatGPT or Claude window, and paste the chapter back. The studio then designs, typesets and packages everything exactly the same way. It takes a little longer, and costs nothing beyond the subscription you already have.
What does the writing typically cost on my account?
For the full ~40,000-word edition, most people spend roughly $3–$12 on the writing depending on the model they pick, a few cents to about a dollar for cover artwork, and around $3–$6 if they choose an AI-narrated audiobook. The studio shows you an estimate before anything begins.
What should I upload?
Your checkpoint summaries and conversations are ideal. Many people also add journal entries, a bio, a vision statement, session transcripts or notes from a coach. PDF, Word, text, Markdown, JSON and HTML all work. The richer the material, the more the book sounds like your life.
Where is my book kept?
In your own browser, on your own device. Download your PDF and ebook as soon as it's finished — and keep them somewhere safe. You can return to the studio from the same browser to make revisions.
Can I print it?
The PDF is typeset at a 6 × 9 inch trade size with a full cover, contents, running heads and page numbers — ready for a print-on-demand service or a local printer if you'd like a physical copy on your shelf.
